First, make sure you have the time to write something. Otherwise there's no point, you know? If you find that you absolutely cannot finish your fic in time, let me know and I'll find someone else to take the assignment. The fic that was written for you will still be posted, but without your name attached. I understand that sometimes things happen beyond your control - illness, death, random acts of deity-of-your-choice - but please don't sign up unless you're sure you can finish.

Now that's out of the way.... This is how it works.

1. Sign up before April 16.

2. Receive your assignment on April 17 or 18. If you haven't heard from me by the end of April 19, email me.

3. You have until midnight on May 21 to write your fic. The minimum is 1000 words but there's no limit.

4. When you finish your fic, please send it to me so I can start getting the archive ready, or at least send me a link to wherever it is. But otherwise sit on it until the deadline.

5. On May 22 or thereabouts, I'll post the final list of finished fics on my Livejournal, and put them up here so everyone can read them. Now of course you can send yours to the person who requested it, and anyone else who'd want to read it.

6. That's about it. Questions, comments, cries of despair - email me.
