Now that she was awake her therapy could begin. The physicians and therapists were amazed with her recovery, though her psychiatrist was curious about her occasional nightmares and erotic dreams. Steven remarked how she seemed to be happier and healthier then before.

About a week after her coming out of her near comatose sleep, the police finally were granted permission to speak with her. Detective Henderson was the officer assigned to her case. She was a middle-aged woman who seemed to look right through you into your soul. She introduced herself pleasantly if matter-of-factly.

"Hello Ms. Weathers, I am Detective Sergeant Rita Henderson, I've been assigned to handle your case. For the most part we have all the suspects incarcerated, they confessed, those that we could find alive, that is. I was wondering if you could tell me what you recall from the incident."

"Certainly Detective. I had to work late that day, and had a feeling of unease as the last of my colleagues left the office. I couldn't shake it all the way down the elevator, nor when I got on the subway, which is why I probably caught the wrong train at first..." she began. Rita interrupted her.

"I am sorry, so you weren't on your usual train? You were travelling the wrong way?"

"Yes at first. I got off at the next stop and still spooked I grabbed the first car that came along, not checking out the other passengers before entering. I would have picked an empty car or one with less unsavoury characters aboard," she responded. Rita nodded, indicating that she should continue.

"So I hopped on the first car that I came to and found myself alone with a drunk at one end and a gang at the other. I chose to sit closer to the drunk as he seemed harmless." She noticed that Rita was watching her intently. "Is there something wrong?" Susan asked.

"Just that this is the first that anyone has mentioned a drunk. What about the dog?"

"Now that is something I want to know about, I have no recollection of a dog at all. I sat down, the gang advanced upon me and attacked, I tried to reach the emergency alert strap but they were on me before I could. They were trying to rape me when..." She paused, a curious look crossed her face. She looked at Doctor Lewiston then at the Detective. "Tell me about this dog?" she demanded. Rita guessed that Doctor Lewiston had breached protocol, but she'd take that up with him privately.

"When the police arrived in response to the emergency alert they found only three of your assailants alive and a large wolf like dog standing over you. It tried to drag you away from them. When it realised it couldn't get you out of the car, it stopped and fled."

"What did it look like?" Susan asked.

"According to the reporting constables, it appeared to be a cross between a large shepherd and a timber wolf. Black pelt, grey green eyes." She stopped at the look that Susan gave her. "Does that mean anything?"

"Not unless I am having erotic dreams about him, presuming the dog was a male." And at the look that Rita gave her she laughed. "And a werewolf to boot, it's a man with grey green eyes that I dream about." Detective Henderson laughed at that.

"So what made you ask about the dog?"

"Well just before I fainted, I saw a monstrous face, almost dog like, and then I heard a howl and the blood started flying. Then I fainted," Susan responded, in a withdrawn kind of voice. Rita noticed that she seemed to be going into shock and snapped her fingers at the doctor. The sound caused Susan to start and she looked around, and suddenly collapsed on her pillows. "I am sorry Detective Henderson, I am tired. Can we continue this another time?"

"Certainly Ms. Weathers. Is tomorrow fine for you?" Susan nodded as she drifted off to sleep. As the two of them left the room, she could hear the whispered conversation between them.

"Alright you bastard!" Rita tore into him in a hoarse whisper. "Who told you, you could leak that information?"

"Hey easy, I didn't think it would be a problem," he responded, a surprised look on his face.

"Well that is the last time I tell you anything. I could lose my job over that, you do realise that don't you? Or are you just so fucking full of yourself that you don't care?" she growled.

"Rita! Don't be this way babe, not here, not like this," he responded.

"Fuck you Richard. You are so in love with your own dick and ego it's sick." And she stormed off.

The conversation for some reason made Susan smile as sleep took her in its arms and carried her to her dream lover.
